  • Citations and Rankings: ISS training session

    Tuesday 5 March 11-12                               Training Room 3 in the Library

    Scopus and Web of Science are the two multidisciplinary databases most commonly used to find peer-reviewed literature, track citations, and compile journal rankings. This session discusses their similarities and differences and looks at some of the tools they provide to identify highly-cited journals and manage your research profile.

  • SCONUL access

    You may have heard of the Sconul Access scheme which allows academics and postgraduates borrowing rights at other university libraries. The procedure for joining this has now changed.

    You need to apply online to all the libraries you wish to join. Details and an application form can be found at http://www.sconul.ac.uk/sconul-access. The system will then contact Swansea University Library to make sure that you are a genuine reliable user and will send you a confirmation e-mail to take to the university you wish to join. They usually require your university ID card in addition to the e-mail.
