Web of Science (WoS) is made up of three large, multidisciplinary databases; Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. Each database indexes the core journals in its disciplines.

    NEW FEATURES

Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a new sub-section of WoS that adds over 4000 new journals to the database. The emphasis is on new/emerging fields & trends, journals with local content, regional importance but don’t yet have the global impact needed for inclusion in main database, impact factor or JCR. Find out more about ESCI by watching this video.

The new Marked List allows you to save your work in progress in a to create custom datasets.  Create up to 50 lists that can contain over 5,000 items. Once added to a Marked List, your custom dataset can be analyzed in InCitesTM, added to EndNoteTM bibliographies, send to ResearcherID to manage academic reputation, or exported for offline analysis in your choice of file formats. This short video demonstrates how to make the most of Marked Lists in WoS.
